Getting Started

How Does qr2dine Work?

You build your menu in your dashboard, then download your QR code and put it on your tables. Customers scan it with their phone's camera, and your menu opens in their browser with photos, prices and allergens.

What Do I Need to Get Started?

Only an email address. Create an account, enter your restaurant's name and choose your menu's web address, then add your categories and items. The Free plan needs no credit card.

Can I See a Menu Before I Sign Up?

Yes. Our live demo is the menu of Pizza Roma, a restaurant we run to show qr2dine. Open it on your phone, or scan its QR code on the demo page, and try it the way your customers would.

Do My Customers Need to Download an App?

No. The menu is a web page, so it opens in any phone's browser. Customers don't install anything or create an account.

Do I Need a Website?

No. Your menu has its own web address, which is what the QR code opens. You can also share that link on your Google Business Profile, social media or your own website.

Can I Use the Menu I Already Have?

Yes. Import it from an Excel or CSV file with one item per row, add common dishes from our ready-made menu library, or type your items in. You can download your menu as a spreadsheet again at any time.

Your Menu

Can I Change My Menu After I Print the QR Code?

Yes. The QR code always opens your live menu, so new items, prices and photos show up as soon as you save them. You only need to print a new code if you change your Menu address in Settings.

Can I Hide an Item That's Sold Out?

Yes. Turn off Available on the item and it disappears from your menu until you turn it back on. Nothing is deleted.

How Many Categories and Items Can I Add?

Up to 3 categories and 15 menu items on the Free plan. Premium has no limit on either.

Can I Add Photos of My Dishes?

Yes. Upload a JPEG, PNG or WebP photo of up to 5 MB for each item and crop it in your dashboard. A category can have a wide photo of its own as well, yours or one from the menu library.

How Do Allergen Labels Work?

You can mark each item with any of the Big 9 allergens: milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy and sesame. Restaurants elsewhere, Türkiye included, get the 14 allergens of the EU and the Turkish Food Codex instead. Customers see them next to the dish. They show exactly what you mark, so keep them up to date when a recipe changes.

Which Currencies Can I Show My Prices In?

US dollars, euros, British pounds or Turkish lira. You choose one in Settings, and every price on your menu is shown in it.

Can My Address and Phone Number Be on the Menu?

Yes, if you want them there. Add them in Settings and turn on Show on public menu. Customers can tap the address to open it in Google Maps, and the number to call you.

QR Code

Can I Put My Logo on the QR Code or Change Its Colors?

Yes. Choose the code's color and its background, and put your restaurant's logo in the center. A dark code on a light background is the easiest for phones to read.

Do I Need a Different QR Code for Each Table?

No. One code opens the same menu at every table, so print as many copies as you need.

Will My QR Code Ever Stop Working?

Not while your account exists, on the Free plan or Premium. It only changes if you change your Menu address in Settings (then print the new code), and it stops working if you delete your account.

Your Customers

Can Customers Order or Pay Through the Menu?

No, qr2dine shows your menu; it doesn't take orders or payments. Customers can save their Favorites and put dishes in a Basket to see what they plan to order and its total, then order from your staff as usual.

Does the Menu Work on Every Phone?

Yes, on any iPhone or Android phone with a browser. Most phones read QR codes straight from the camera app. If you share the link, the menu opens on a tablet or computer too.

Do Customers Need an Internet Connection?

Yes. The menu opens over their mobile data or your restaurant's Wi-Fi, like any web page.

Do You Collect Data About My Customers?

We don't store any. Customers don't sign up, and your menu sets no cookies. Their Favorites and Basket stay on their own phone and are never sent to us. Our Privacy Policy has the details.

Account

Can I Manage More Than One Restaurant?

Each account has one restaurant with one menu. For another location, create another account with a different email address; each account has its own plan.

Can I Change My Email Address or Password?

Yes, in your dashboard's Account settings. A new email address takes effect once you open the link we send to it, and a new password needs your current one. If you've forgotten your password, choose Forgot password on the sign-in page and we'll email you a link to set a new one.

How Do I Delete My Account?

In your dashboard's Account settings. This removes your account, your restaurant, its menu and your photos at once and for good, and your QR code stops working. Premium, if you have it, is cancelled right away, without a refund for the rest of the period unless you paid yearly in the last 14 days. You can download your menu as a spreadsheet first.

Plans & Billing

Do I Need a Credit Card to Start?

No. The Free plan needs no card, and you can stay on it as long as you like. You add a card only when you go Premium.

Is There a Free Trial of Premium?

No, the Free plan is the trial. Build your menu, print your QR code and let your customers use it. Go Premium when you need more than 3 categories or 15 menu items, or want your own colors and layout.

What Happens When I Cancel Premium?

Premium stays until the end of the period you paid for (unless we refund a yearly payment), then your account moves to the Free plan. Categories and menu items above its limits stay saved but are hidden from your menu, and your menu goes back to the default look, until you go Premium again.

Can I Get a Refund?

If you cancel within 14 days after a yearly payment, we refund that payment in full, and your account moves to the Free plan right away. Apart from that, we don't refund partial months or years.

Can I Switch Between Monthly and Yearly Billing?

Yes, in the Stripe Customer Portal, which you open from your dashboard's Subscription page. A switch to yearly applies right away, and the unused part of your month counts toward the yearly price. A switch to monthly applies when the year you paid for ends.

How Do I Pay?

Through Stripe's checkout, by card or another payment method Stripe offers there. We never see or store your card number. Prices are in US dollars and may include sales tax where it applies.
